Getting intimate about your finances

I have just returned from participating in the inaugural "Financial Intimacy" conference in New York City. It was an inspiring event that brought people together to talk about money and relationships. This remains a pretty sensitive topic in our culture and yet one that can have huge impact on a couple's success or failure.

Back to School: Needs versus Wants

When I was in grade school my mom would always make sure we had a new outfit for the first day of school. This tradition was no small investment given that I am the youngest of five kids. But every year we'd go shopping and then, decked out in our school starting clothes, we would have our picture taken on the front porch before heading off school.

Sabbatical in Spain: How the Moolala Method helped get us to our goal.
